THE HISTORY OF LSIC
WHAT WE DO
Living Springs International Church (LSIC) was started by God’s leading in 1989 in Peckham in the city of London with 8 people by Reverend Frank OfosuAppiah.The church which began in the houses of the initial 8 members has grown to become an oasis of life for the gathering of people from all nations of the world who yearn to know the Lord.Over the years , many have been trained and sent into other nations of the world to preach the Gospel in accordance to the command our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ gave us. Living Springs has also been a thriving church becoming the oasis of breakthrough, a place of nurture in the word and a spring of knowledge and understanding in the things of God. As a result of the strong evangelical base, the Living Springs Church Family has several branches in Africa, Europe and the USA.
We are a part of the body of Christ called specifically to bring transformation to every person by developing the total person through whom God will diffuse the fragrance of His knowledge in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14), thereby filling the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God as waters covers the sea .(Habakuk 2:14).
WHAT WE BELIEVE (STATEMENT OF FAITH)
We believe in one God Father, Son and Holy Spirit, creator of all things.We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary , was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the father and is true God and true man We believe the bible in its entirety to be the inspired word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost. We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe in sanctification through the word of God and by the Holy Spirit and we believe in personal holiness, purity of the heart and life.We believe in Divine healing, through faith in the name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the redemption. We believe in water baptism , in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the new birth, in speaking with tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the spirit , and the evidence of the fruit of the spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers. We believe in the Christians hope, the sooncoming , return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As we raise men and women who are inspired by the Holy Spirit and filled with the knowledge of the glory of God, they will influence their homes, communities and environs with the knowledge of the glory of God as waters cover the sea.
